Adornment artists have stories behind everything they own whilst rejecting the notion that material possessions add value to personhood. Driftwood they picked up while skinnydipping in an uninhabited lake; a ring they bought outside of a techno club in Berlin; a curtain of their grandmother's old silk scarves carefully stitched together. There is warmth and depth hidden behind a lightness in their belongings and ways. Something lost is really just allowing it to become adrift and somehow part of a greater plan.
